I am much more aware of local businesses and inclined to visit them because of the connection.  I don&#039;t feel that connection whizing by in my car.  I also find myself going to shops that more biker friendly.  Ones with bike racks outside and public restrooms (so I can wash my hands before eating).  But do businesses want bicyclists as customers?  We&#039;re smelly and obviously frugal.
