If people wanted to really change things, they would
a) buy local
b) become green entrenpreneurs
For instance, we opened a sustainable clothing boutique in Philadelphia htis past March. All our clothing is made from organic, sustainable or recycled materials without sweatshop labor. The community and press response has been amazing. People are so thrilled to see that there are ways of consuming that they don't have to feel bad about. This is added value that Wal Mart is trying to tap into, only without the honest intent.
You can check out our clothing or read the news articles about us at www.satyaboutique.com
