Tree-hugging pagans? New age worshippers of Satan? Where are you getting this information?
In making a strong argument, begin with facts, rather than an attack. Otherwise, you are no better than the ideology you are attempting to refute.

I agree with some of these points, but overall, Peter Opa makes a specious, and over-generalized, argument. CFLs will save them money on their electric bill and will reduce greenhouse emissions from coal fired electric plants. We would like to work with Church and Clergy for fundraising events. I love it! I'm assuming you are saying "Tax for tithes," yes? I hadn't heard that expression before. Nice.

Republicans will eliminate every tax funded safety net. Tax is only for Police, Jail and the Miltary. The government will not compete with Jesus who gets exclusive market rights for capturing people when they are most vunerable, what ever personal crisis that is. It is tax for taithes.

There is agreement between those that want every American to have a born again experiance and Americans who hate paying tax. One of several articles I found on it is http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2001/11/09/BU81988.DTL&type=business

My hunch is the attacks are not based on analysis, but instead on this simple tit for tat. The payback is in appointments to Supreme Court, etc.

You don’t suppose there was an “I’ll scratch your back and if you scratch mine” agreement between the Christian Right and Republican Party?
