Their environmental goals are ambitious and they seem to be following up on them. Let's give them a break. They ultimately may make a big difference. The media will rarely question their advertisers messages, because they might lose the account, so Americans haven't heard about conservation as an alternative to consumption in the MSM for the past 30-40 years. This whole paradigm is about to change. Good for Walmart! Saving a buck has ALWAYS been easier than making one. ALWAYS will be. Conservation is not un-American. But it has been portrayed that way in advertising in the main stream media.
