I think it's well worth the price for a do it yourself-er, to avoid all that itchy stuff. If I had to pay a contractor to install the fiberglass type, I know it would cost me as much as this new safetouch, if not more. So I choose to save time & money by buying Safe touch insulation, and do it myself !! The plastic part of it made me a little unsettled in case of a fire...but I assume they wouldn't allow it to be sold for this purpose if it were a major fire hazard, so I'm going with it. I consider this my recycling contribution too, by using this plastic product. I wonder whether or not this safe touch stuff will deter mice from crawling through my walls, when they attempt coming inside to escape the cold weather ? That would be a bonus.<br>I don't think I'd like to be cutting up enough old jeans or fleece blankets to do my insulation jobs. Would take too long & be too costly in the long run. But the thought of having a snuggly wrapped around my house to keep me warm isn't such a bad idea, either.

there are many other "green" options that benefit the environment and leave a smaller footprint such as recycled levis and blown in newspaper etc. This thermafleece is interesting and looks like a sound alternative as well.
