The point of the article is not to further an agenda, but to highlight a company that came up with a creative solution to a problem. The problem being that products made from styrene end up in landfills.
I chose to highlight Timbron partly because it's a plant is based in the northern San Joaquin Valley, a Valley with the second worst air basin in the country.
Bryant, before you judge a SJ Valley resident concerned about the environment, come and stay here for at least a few months. I think you will not find the severe allergies and sinus problems enjoyable. And God forbid if you are an asthmatic because it could mean hospital time.
I believe that more companies need to address any and all sources of pollution in the SJ Valley in the creative way that Timbron does. Kudos to Timbron!

This is the writer of the post. Our ranking of scientific literacy in the industrialized countries coming out of high school is what - something like 27th. Just a note - styrene is an FDA approved food additive. Good grief people, chlorine will kill you but we need it to stay alive as a part of salt. It is really sad that so called "environmentalists" have chosen to use the general public's ignorance of science to further their ideology. The fact is they know if they said what they really desire the general public would have nothing to do with it.

I guess it should comes as no surprise that the writer and those commenting here and at the multitude of “green” sites would make an issue out of styrene being an issue. I also agree that manufacturing polystyrene is a worse problem than transporting it.

Yes, I completely agree that it’s a great business idea with a positive outcome! Calling him a dummy is stretch.

website design – good call, seems he should be at least as concerned about the problems produced in the manufacture of polystyene, as transporting it is probably somewhat trivial, but I still think it’s a great business idea with a positive outcome.
