		<description>Many in Canada see our nation&#039;s ability to take meaningful action thwarted by Alberta&#039;s Athabasca Tar Sands project.  The Tar Sands create enormous GHG and pollution emissions to produce a synthetic oil that is almost entirely for the American market.   Since the US is getting the benefit of this resource and is demanding that Canada quadruple production, should the United States not shoulder full responsibility for the resultant greenhouse gas as well as air, soil and water pollution?
