		<description>As you mentioned that reputation was the primary motivator behind cutting footprint, it is not amazing that the non-G8 nations have major companies unaware of carbon footprint.
I think this is mainly because of the unawareness amongst consumers and the general public about climate change. And I don&#039;t think we can do much in this case as people living in countries like India, Pakistan, Argentina have other issues on their mind. Poverty (not fuel poverty but everything poverty) is on the rise and electricity/gas supply always gets disrupted now and then.
So unless we take some concrete steps to raise awareness amongst the rest of the world, we can&#039;t hope to achieve much in these nations.
