McDonalds packaging overall is pretty bad for the environment, from the styrofoam sweet tea cups to the packaging for big macs and happy meals. A lot of that packaging is coming from Southern forests. Instead, McDonalds should use more post-consumer recycled paper packaging, stop buying paper from endangered forests, and use paper packaging from FSC sustainably managed forests.

Remember, "greenwashing" is also about people. Well, so is the triple bottom line thing. "sweat tea" is a soul-food generally associated with the south and with black neighborhoods. It's also really bad for you and goes straight to obesity and diabetes (if you drink it all the time). Frankly McDonalds is just marketing themselves to the less-educated sectors of society and dumping cheap sugar water on them. It's probably corn syrup too. I think that sucks, nevermind the polystyrene.
Also - check out the famous 3P blogger-thon about the Happy Meal hummer: <a href="http://www.triplepundit.com/pages/mcdonalds-happy-meals-if-a-hum-002244.php" rel="nofollow">LINK HERE</a>
