		<description>Exotic photovoltaic technologies in my view are probably not going to be the best way to generate solar energy.
I believe solar thermal will probably dominate over photovoltaic.
As to global grid, it&#039;s a nice idea, but I think besides the fact that its technical feasibility is not clear, I think geopolitics may also be a big obstacle.
I suspect that the intermittency of solar will probably be more successfully dealt with using energy storage rather than a global grid approach.

We already have the tools to get use there... why don&#039;t we focus more on cost-cutting, rather than trying to sqeeze out another 2% from what we already have?
