A hundred years ago organic farming was conventional. By eliminating the hundreds of tons of chemicals being applied to our crops, we can reduce global warming and save millions of dollars. Our produce will also not poison us. Our soil will not become sterile and need even more chemicals. Maybe, just maybe, farmers would actually stay farmers because it would be profitable and they would not feel pressured into selling their land to home developers so they could survive.
