I've been researching the global availability of Lithium (Li MH batteries) as well as the environmental impact of Lithium mining, and am concerned about availability past 2016. We may also consider that the self discharge characteristic of NiMH batteries may not be fully overcome. <br>Although Molten Salt (Na-Ni-Cl, or Na-Fe-Cl) batteries are rather archaic, they still appear to be viable candidates for powering electric vehicles. What are your thoughts?

Good news about NiMH batteries.
