I think you are absolutely correct that, while corporate social responsibility is now a competitive differentiator, it will soon become the norm as market demands increase.  The culture of a company has become consistently more important in influencing brand perception and buying behavior, and companies need to wholeheartedly -- and &lt;em&gt;authentically&lt;/em&gt; -- embrace this new paradigm as the standard way of conducting business.  Those who do not can expect a decrease in brand affinity, acceptance and sales, paving the way for responsible companies to secure control of the market.
