Coal sells or 4 cent/KW, wind sells fron 4-20 cent/KW. All Bush projects shut down after one year of opening, funding not avaliable, so nothing was done, but not this time.

I don’t know a lot about this guy, but judging from the quote alone, it doesn’t sound totally unreasonable. Renewable energy is expensive and his stating as such is not out of line. In fact, efficiency may be a far better investment, at least initially, than in any sort of new power source. Though I’ve no idea if this guy gets that either.

Of course it’s going to be difficult. I agree about mobilizing the private sector. I also believe that this is about allocating money in the right places and making sure we’re not being wasteful.
