Yes, you can organize your L3C in Vermont (or Michigan, Wyoming, Utah or North Dakota) and conduct your business in NYS. You will also need a registered agent and you can use a Vermont RA as well. That is how we set-up our L3C and we are based in Colorado.
You will want to check with NYS and file the appropriate forms required by your Secretary of State&#039;s office.
