China will perform in the "green" product development world as it has done with other developing technologies in the past - that is to wait and let other more sophisticated economies and engineers develop and start to manufacture, and then copy and mimic their way onto the manufacturing front. Although not exactly "progressive", this is really the best they can do at the current time, as they do not have creative and forward thinking talent, but do have wide-scale manufacturing capacity and infrastructure.

"Not for nothing did Tom Friedman entitle one of the chapters in “Hot, Flat, and Crowded” as “China for a Day.”
I thought this was description of New York City for a moment. BTW, China is NOT flat although it doea indeed get hot in the summer. Like NYC. And it IS crowded. Like NYC.
"...Golden Dragon, as Timminen calls it." Um, that's Tamminen.
Further on you remark, something about MR. Tamminen displaying a "simplistic fear" things Chinese.
You might want to consider that MR. Tamminen is NOT an investment banker. PLease use Google to find out what he does.
There is so much about this posting that leaves one to wonder what is your point? An attack on someone trying to help us all is not a seemly action in my mind.
