Deborah, thanks for the great post. I was inspired to write up a little more of my thoughts from the presentation in a series of posts on my blog at www.csrperspective.com

Thanks for the adding the additional resources! One tool I want to mention is AngelPoints PSP, a new web-based tool to help companies engage employees around sustainability and track results. I will be doing a more detailed post on it tomorrow, but here is the link for now:

Thanks for the article Deborah.

Great catch on the missing element of employee engagement at the BSR Conference. Not sure why it's often a neglected or diminished part of the conversation. Maybe because it's difficult to implement, hard to measure and uncertain in terms of the overall objectives.

But I appreciate the synopsis of the conversation you've captured here for us. We're experimenting with a 'crowdsourcing' approach to volunteerism which seems to address almost all of the best practices as well as overcome the obstacles.

Might I recommend a group we work with in Boston regarding Metrics. Outstanding tools and easy to use. True Impact - http://www.trueimpact.com/

Thanks again. I'm following you on twitter now, and have tweeted out your article. We'll also link it to our Facebook Page for Realized Worth - http://ow.ly/wBJn

Thanks Deborah, this is useful stuff. In case you or your readers want them, here are links to two examples of sustainability in action. The first between supplier and customer, the second focussing on employees and customers. I've used sustainability as a way of making change happen to great effect, good to see it getting an airing elsewhere!

Cheers - Doug
