Policy in Europe (and Australia) are pushing companies to innovate and Coca Cola is obviously positioning themselves ahead of the curve by taking this on. I eagerly await for US policy to enforce data collection for GRI sustainability reports, something required in Europe, so that US companies are pressured into such sustainable innovation. When I first heard about this I was a bit skeptical- it seemed like a really easy out for a company that could be doing a lot more.
