Already back in the early 1990s Finland had widely automated banking with ATMs and electronic transfers, while other countries were massively paper-based (the US even today is still using WAY too many dinosaur checks that are mailed via fossil fuels)…

I’ve been to Helsinki, Oulu and Tampere, during winter.

Beautiful cities, amazing views on the countryside, great microbrewery beers and some of the nicest, warmest people I’ve ever met.

Planning another visit, preferably during winter again – so I can avoid the scorching heat of Brazilian summer.

According to this Yale study, Finland ranks #1 in environmental sustainability. I haven't read enough about the study to see the details. Maybe you could ask them about it? Do they care about rankings like this?
