    Actually, those aren’t bollards, they’re delineators. The difference? A cyclist hitting a bollard gets maimed or killed. A cyclist hitting a delineator bends over the flexible plastic post and might not even lose control of the bike. That’s a distinction worth maintaining, and why FHWA safety guidance questions the use of bollards on bicycle facilities.
