Bard's MBA in Sustainability is among a handful of top MBA programs that focus on sustainability as a core part of their curriculum (they've also been a great partner of TriplePundit over the years). While at SB'13 earlier this month, I had a chance to chat with Meghan Ryan, a current student in the program about her experiences.
Meghan has just completed a consulting class called NYC Lab. It's a year-long class offering students the chance to work with a variety of clients to address social and environmental challenges. As part of the course, she had a chance to work with Unilever on the problem of under-electrification in emerging markets. Her group focused on Ghana and identified a number of products and opportunities to alleviate the problem while creating business opportunities at the same time.
