Video Interview: Bison Organic Beers', Dan Del Grande

By The Can Van

In an effort to sync his business with his personal values, Dan Del Grande recognized a need and started an organic brewery. Del Grande calls Bison Organic Beers a movement not just a Berkeley, CA brewery. He is laser-focused on inspiring the adoption of organic purchasing and challenges more breweries to do the same.

Del Grande urges consumers to vote with their dollars, as purchasing decisions can make a real impact on the sustainability of beer. “By choosing a 6-pack of organic beer a week, you will convert about 1700 to 1800 sq ft from conventional to organic agriculture.”

Jenn Coyle shares a beer with Dan and learns more about the importance of organic sourcing and what is in his brewery’s “crayon box”:
