Anvil strikes out with Europeans

By 3p Contributor

A programme helping African nations to produce and sell sustainable cotton has recruited its first US-based apparel manufacturer.

Anvil Knitwear has joined Cotton Made in Africa (CmiA), a European project that supports farmers with training, sets up social projects and helps producers to find markets.

Anvil, a sportswear company that employs about 4000 people, says it has chosen to work with CmiA suppliers because of their environmental credentials.
