Chesapeake Energy to split ceo & chairman roles

By 3p Contributor

Oil and gas firm Chesapeake Energy has agreed to separate its chief executive and chairman roles. The move comes after controversy when chair and CEO Aubrey McClendon borrowed more than $1bn (£641m, €804m) from the company’s treasury. The policy change also follows divestment from the company over poor governance practices generally.
