Oil and gas firm Chesapeake Energy has agreed to separate its chief executive and chairman roles. The move comes after controversy when chair and CEO Aubrey McClendon borrowed more than $1bn (£641m, €804m) from the company’s treasury. The policy change also follows divestment from the company over poor governance practices generally.
