The UK government’s new Green Investment Bank has made its first infrastructure investments. £30m ($47m, €37m) has been awarded to Greensphere Capital to work on small projects in the waste infrastructure industry – a figure the company will itself need to match from overseas investors. The government will also announce the result of a second, £100m tender in non-domestic energy over the coming months.
