IKEA invests in wind farm

By 3p Contributor

IKEA’s plans to fill all its energy needs from renewable sources (EP, July 2012, p5) are taking another step with investment in a 30-turbine wind farm on Glötesvålen, a mountain in Härjedalen, Sweden. The project is one of the largest investments to date in a wind power project in the Nordic countries and will bring the number of turbines owned by IKEA in Sweden to 39. The IKEA Group currently has 96 wind turbines in operation or under construction around the world.
