Interview: Lonesome George Founder Eduardo Balarezo

By Nick Aster
Lonesome George is the last living member of a particular species of Galapagos Tortoise.  He's living out his days, well, lonely.  And as such makes a wonderful metaphor for sustainability - the hope that other species won't share his fate. Eduardo Balarezo is the founder and CEO of a clothing company named in George's honor.  He introduced his company on TriplePundit in November.   His big goal is to revolutionize capitalism to drive investment in experiential learning programs such as   Outward Bound and Ashoka.  His "Mind.Shift.Impact" business model embraces the fact that social enterprises can truly influence the world, picking up where the system leaves off.
