Magnum ices get ethical

By 3p Contributor

Magnum ice-cream products have become the latest confection to achieve Rainforest Alliance certification. Unilever, which owns Magnum, says the move to source 100% of its global cocoa supply from Rainforest Alliance farms by 2015 will make it one of the first sustainable ice cream brands. As an interim target, the product, which usually consists of ice cream wrapped in a layer of chocolate, will use 60% sustainably-sourced cocoa by the end of this year.
