Sergej Mahnovski has been appointed director of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Office of Long-Term Planning & Sustainability. A former energy policy director for the mayor, he will co-ordinate the city’s climate efforts and manage the deployment of PlaNYC, the city’s blueprint for sustainability and climate change adaptation.
