A group of some of the largest companies in the US are gathering in New York this month to discuss the implications of social media for reputational risk. Firms including Gap, Virgin Atlantic, AIG, Alcoa, General Electric, Procter & Gamble and Pfizer will meet to discuss the new approaches necessary for reputation preservation and crisis communication in the face of the new open media format threatening traditional brand image protection. The event will take place on March 5-6.
