Tessa Tennant has been appointed as a non-executive director of the UK Green Investment Bank (UK GIB), a funding scheme initiated by the UK government designed to accelerate private sector investment in the UK’s transition to a green economy. In her role at the bank, Tessa – the co-founder and first chairman of the Association for Sustainable & Responsible Investment in Asia (ASrIA), the region’s non-profit membership association for the sustainable and responsible investment industry – will be looking at investment decisions in offshore wind power generation, waste processing and recycling, energy from waste generation, non-domestic energy efficiency and support for the Green Deal.
