UN Global Compact appoints 14 new board members

The United Nations Global Compact has appointed 14 new members to its board. The following have been newly appointed to serve three-year terms: Jorge Abrahão (Ethos Institute), Kurt Bock (BASF), Marilyn Carlson-Nelson (Carlson), Robert Collymore (Safaricom), Samuel di Piazza (Citi), Andrei Galaev (Sakhalin Energy), S Gopalakrishnan (Infosys), Elias Masilela (Public Investment Corporation), Arif Masood Naqvi (Abraaj Capital Holdings), Paul Polman (Unilever), Güler Sabanci (Sabanci Holding), Martha Tilaar (Martha Tilaar Group), Sudhir Vasudeva (ONGC), Brent Wilton (International Organisation of Employers). The new appointments bring the total number of board members to 31 and, according to the Compact, strengthens its focus on business engagement.
