Bahrain considers adding CSR to curriculum

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) could soon be rolled out as a mandatory subject in Bahrain’s high schools and universities, according to recent press reports. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Finance Minister and Minister in charge of Oil and Gas Affairs, proposed the step at the opening session of the First CSR Conference and Exhibition, which was held recently at the Gulf Convention Centre. Education and the training of young people are the cornerstone on which all CSR activities rest, he maintained.
