By 3p Contributor

Cleans Clothes Campaign (CCC) activists have recently encountered problems in Cambodia while protesting outside a clothing factory near Phnom Penh. The pressure group was supporting workers who were on strike over the illegal dismissal of 41 workers for setting up a trade union.

Workers say the factory, called E Garment, is supplying to well known retail brands such as Marks & Spencer, Esprit, Diesel, Okaidi, and VF corporation Representatives from CCC were taken to a local police station after attending the protest and talking to striking workers. They were detained and questioned for over 6 hours.
