Google’s vp of ethics and compliance, Andy Hinton, has joined the board of the Ethics Resource Centre.
"His knowledge and extensive background abating corporate ethics and compliance risk will help further our mission and enrich our organisation," said Patricia J. Harned, ERC president.
Hinton joined Google in 2006, and in his current position is leading the company's efforts to seek out and reduce compliance risk. Prior to his role with Google, he was chief compliance officer at two GE Capital financial services businesses. He focused on white collar crime as a Federal Prosecutor in New York City from 1994 to 2003, and from 1989 to 1994, he concentrated on commercial litigation and white collar criminal defence at the New York City law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore.
