Lenzi wins ERC Carol R Marshall Award

By 3p Contributor

John C. (Jack) Lenzi, vice president, corporate responsibility & chief ethics officer of ITT Corporation, has been selected as the Ethics Resource Center’s 2013 recipient of the Carol R. Marshall Award for Innovation in Corporate Ethics (Marshall Award).

ERC selected Lenzi based on recommendations by his peers in the ethics and compliance field, including leaders from publicly traded companies, privately held entities, government offices, and academic institutions.

The Marshall award, established in 2011 as a posthumous honour to former ERC Board member Carol R. Marshall, recognizes a chief ethics and compliance officer for innovation and leadership in building or enhancing a corporate ethics and compliance programme.

ERC’s selected honourees are national leaders, serving as role models in the profession by advancing the ethics and compliance field. The annual award has been funded through a contribution from the Northrop Grumman Corporation.

“The Carol Marshall Award is quite special, since it represents recognition from my colleagues and peers in the ethics and compliance profession,” Lenzi said.

“It also reflects a lot of great work by so many amazing teams I’ve been fortunate to be a part of or lead over the last decade, both at Altria Group and ITT. I am proud that those efforts have helped enhance our corporate culture and empower employees to be their best.”

“Jack Lenzi personally and professionally models the behaviors sought after in all ethics programs,” said ERC president, Patricia Harned.
