In the couple of years during which I've gotten to know Masdar and Masdar City, I've been looking for signs that it has begun to influence the building community beyond its borders. This afternoon I had a chance to sit down with Masdar City's Head of Facilities Management, Naser Al Marzooqi, to ask him in person.
It turns out Masdar City is indeed having a substantial impact on building elsewhere in Abu Dhabi - particularly by influencing the local building materials supply chain. Find out more in the short video below:
