Marketing consultancy Pale Blue Hat has launched Radar, a toolkit to help companies identify the risk of adverse exposure around their green claims and avoid charges of misleading customers with ‘greenwash’. The UK government’s Green Claims Code, as well as the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority’s (ASA) updated advertising codes and emerging EU legislation around energy products and eco-labelling, means there is an ever-increasing duty on companies to ensure their environmental claims are accurate, truthful and relevant. Pale Blue Hat managing consultant Mo Humphries, said Radar helps companies identify “sleeping or hidden risks” and establish marketing controls.
