Summer is here! What does that mean? If your high school was like mine, it means stacks of summer reading. We here at TriplePundit work hard to bring you all the news you need to know about sustainability in business - and we do it all year round. But sometimes, let's face it, you need to go deeper into a subject - and there are many great books to help you do that.
That's why every week this summer, we'll be giving away a CSR-related book to one lucky reader.
Last week's book was The Green Collar Economy: How One Solution Can Fix Our Two Biggest Problems by Van Jones. And the winner, chosen by random number generator, is Samreen M. Congratulations! Thanks to everyone else who entered. Still want some summer reading? Don't give up, we have a brand new book to offer this week!
This week's book is The Nature of Business - Redesign for Resilience by Giles Hutchins.
From the publisher:
Nature has already shown us the way to solve many human problems, from deciphering simple engineering puzzles to unlocking the mysteries of flight. In The Nature of Business, Giles Hutchins makes a compelling case for applying the same principles of biomimicry to the development of a new business paradigm. He demonstrates clearly how behaviours and organizations found in nature can be applied to help our organizations flourish in chaotic and uncertain times. He presents the challenges to the prevailing “business as usual” model, explains the pressing need for transformational change, and reveals the concepts and mind-sets necessary to inspire the businesses of tomorrow. You want it? You got it! Here are the 2 steps you need to take to enter:
1. Tweet this article using the hashtag #CSRsummerreading.
2. Leave a comment describing why you want the book. If you are commenting as a guest, please use a real email address in the comment field so we can reach you. You don't have to display it publicly! Alternatively, let us know your twitter handle and we'll contact you that way.
That's it! The winner will be chosen at random from among all entries next Tuesday at noon pacific and announced next Wednesday when we publish the next book giveaway.
