Welcome to our series of interviews with leading female CSR practitioners where we are learning about what inspires these women and how they found their way to sustainability careers. Read the rest of the series here.
In January 2013, our Editor-in-Chief, Jen Boynton, penned a post spotlighting 35 women in CSR that have been doing great work across all industries. The response was overwhelming. The article was shared across social media and readers weighed in with their opinions and, most importantly, their nominations for women in CSR in their lives they would like to see on another list.
We read your comments and we will do you one better. Another list just won't cover it. We are launching a series about women in CSR where we ask current practitioners at all levels of CSR questions about their professional journey, who influenced them along the way, the best advice they ever received and their idea of a perfect day. Our interviewees have shared their love for sports, both watching and participating, their proudest professional moments and a glimpse into their favorite activities and hobbies when they aren't working.
We started with the women on our original list and we contacted as many of the nominations you left in the comments as we could. We are publishing these interviews as Q&As and the answers are in their own words. We are learning so much about the different roads that have led each woman to her current role, and we hope you do, too. Make sure to share these articles around! These insights will be valuable to anyone pursuing CSR and sustainability.
Join the conversation. Feel free to leave comments and questions for the interviewees on their posts and send any nominations for other women who should be in the series to andrea[at]triplepundit.com.
