Lindy Plaza, chief of CalPERS’ Diversity Outreach Program, is the recipient of the 2014 Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Hero Award. The award, presented by the Asian Pacific State Employees Association, recognizes Plaza for her work to elevate diversity awareness in public employment.
Plaza, who pioneered the CalPERS Diversity Outreach Program in 2006, was recognized for creating a model program often used by other State departments in creation of their own diversity and inclusion programs.
