2degrees unveils top 25 under 25s working in sustainable business

By 3p Contributor

2degrees, the online collaboration platform and service for sustainable business, has unveiled its list of the Top 25 Under 25s for 2014.

Among those that made the cut are professionals working within large corporates, such as Marks & Spencer, Rolls-Royce, United Technologies Corporation and Veolia, as well as entrepreneurs, analysts, engineers, and consultants.

More than 70 candidates were assessed as part of the judging process to find this year’s Top 25, which played out during the second half of this year across 2degrees, the world’s biggest community for sustainable business professionals.

Those in the running were asked to complete a submission paper and invite their peers and colleagues to write recommendations and testimonials – which 2degrees used as the basis of their final decision.

Tom Idle, editor-in-chief at 2degrees, said: “As the world faces up to some seriously big challenges, this new generation at the early stage of their careers in sustainability are incredibly important. These are the business, community, NGO and political leaders of tomorrow – and thankfully they are, largely, innovative, entrepreneurial and impatient for change.

“Finding our Top 25 has been a fascinating, and incredibly tough, process. I’m delighted to unveil this list of hugely inspiring individuals – full of ideas, passion and commitment to making things happen – in organizations big and small, the world over.”

The Top 25 are: Stephi Brett, BNY Mellon; Tarek Cheaib, Buro Happold; Philip Cocoman, The Coca-Cola Company; Meaghan Crone, EDF; Chloe Dupont, Veolia; Rachael Everard, Rolls-Royce; Ilan Havinga, Sky; Hannah Hayward, BAM; Jen Hickling, Pale Blue; Connor Hill, Marks & Spencer; Lauren Ing, Accenture; Alice Jennison, Skanska; Michael Li, AECOM; Oliver Light, Carbon Credentials; Dhawal Mane, Assistant Manager Sustainable Initiatives, Pratibha Syntex; Ragnar Martens, RootAbility; Jonathan Mitchell, Brothers We Stand; Cassia Oliveira Moreas, Columbia University Coalition for Sustainable Development; Amir Hossein Rahdari, CSR International; Robert Rosenberg, EY; Lauren Rowe, Unite Students; Mollie Ruth, TRC Solutions; Claudia Szerakowski, United Technologies Corporation; Dee Wood, ItDoesTheJob.com and George Young, UK Energy Partners.
