Nils Kendall and David Goodchild have been appointed as joint interim chief executive officers at the Business Disability Forum (BDF).
Goodchild takes on the role after serving as the organisation’s director of membership & business development since 2010, alongside Kendall who has served as director of operational support & company secretary since 2010. In addition to his appointment, Kendall will also retain his responsibilities as company secretary.
The appointment comes after Susan Scott-Parker OBE stepped down as ceo last October to undertake her new role as honorary vice president. Scott-Parker will support Sir Ian Cheshire in his role as BDF’s honorary president, act as a key strategic advisor to the board and continue as BDF’s ambassador and ‘evangelist’.
Kendall brings to the role over 15 years’ experience working in the Third Sector – with previous roles at The Royal Society for the Promotion of Health (now The Royal Society for Public Health). Before joining BDF in 2004, Goodchild’s career focused on media and publishing and included directorial roles at Emap plc.
