Antti Savilaakso has joined its MSCI ESG Research Inc. team as European Head of ESG Research at MSCI Inc, a leading provider of research-based indexes and analytics.
Based in London, Savilaakso is responsible for the EMEA-based analyst team and reports to Linda-Eling Lee, Global Head of MSCI ESG Research.
Lee commented: “As our business continues to grow and institutional investors place increased importance on ESG research and analysis, our ability to attract top talent is critical. We are delighted to welcome Antti, who brings with him nearly 10 years of responsible-investment experience at major asset management businesses.”
Prior to MSCI ESG Research, Savilaakso was Director of Responsible Investments at Nordea, the Nordic-based financial services group which manages approximately €170bn AUM.
Before Nordea, he worked with ESG analysis and corporate engagement at Responsible Research in Singapore, Dexia Asset Management in Brussels, and ABN AMRO Asset Management in Amsterdam. He has conducted various types of ESG and related ethical analysis on more than a thousand companies globally.
