Twitter Chat Recap: Green Electronics Council, #EmergingGreen

By Marissa Rosen

This morning, the Green Electronics Council, UL Environment, Electronic Recyclers International and TriplePundit came together at #EmergingGreen for a special Twitter Chat focused on electronics in the circular economy, eco-design and manufacturing to certification.

The Green Electronics Council has been working with TriplePundit to produce a special series to examine the challenges, triumphs and future of green electronics. The topics explored in this series are just part of the agenda at the Emerging Green Conference in September.

A few topics of the #EmergingGreen Twitter Chat conversation included:

How does the concept of a circular economy fit into a world in which seemingly everything has an electronic aspect? Are earlier successes in recycling and energy use still applicable to converging and shrinking electronics? How and when should the definition of “green electronics” change in such a rapidly evolving market? And what role does “the cloud” play in all of this?

Read on for the full conversation synopsis here!
