By Marissa Rosen

Today, Andrew Winston, Elaine Cohen, TriplePundit, and a panel of experts from Caesars Entertainment came together at to talk corporate responsibility and sustainability metrics at #CitCaesars3p!

Caesars Entertainment launched its 7th annual citizenship report on August 1, 2016. It is entitled Connecting for #Citizenship and provides an update on the value Caesars adds to its guests, employees and communities by creating meaningful connections.

During this TriplePundit Twitter chat, which will be hosted by Gwen Migita, Caesars’ VP of Sustainability & Corporate Citizenship, we revealed the latest data and discuss signature programs including responsible business and sustainability.

The chat will also include details on community redevelopment work in Baltimore, the expansion of Caesars work with its non-profit partners through the Meetings for Good program, and how Harrah’s North Kansas City reflects Caesars’ corporate culture.

  • Spotlight on Horseshoe Baltimore – Since opening on August 26, 2014, Horseshoe Baltimore has attracted nearly 5 million guest visits each year and generated millions of dollars in tax revenues that support local development. Its success in community engagement, and attracting a local workforce, have become a model of how a public corporation and a city government can collaborate. Noah Hirsch, VP of Marketing, will discuss the property’s diversity initiatives, how it supports the city's robust tourism economy, and the property's long-term commitment to the community.

  • Responsible Meetings - In 2016 Caesars strengthened its Responsible Meetings program by launching a “Meetings for Good” option, enabling meetings customers to partner with local non-profits as an integrated part of their event. Nick Cechak from the marketing team will discuss the growth of Meetings for Good, the seven standards for all Responsible Meetings, and Caesars extensive manager certification process.

    • Employee Engagement and Wellbeing –Through programs like Walk a While in My Shoes, in which senior leaders shadowed non-management roles for a day, and Graveyard Appreciation Week, which celebrates the overnight workers, Harrah’s North Kansas City epitomizes Caesars’ caring culture. The property has been recognized for nine years in a row as a “Best Place to Work” by the KC Business Journal. Jennifer Jennings, Vice President of Human Resources at Caesars, will join us to explore some of the employee engagement and wellbeing successes.
